If you are seeing a 'No Connection Error' message when trying to get into the administrative area of your licensed software, this means your software is unable to connect with the Steadfast Innovations, Inc licensing servers. This is commonly a CURL or DNS resolution problem. CURL and proper DNS are essential items in the use of your license software and is something your server admin may need to investigate and correct.

What are CURL and DNS?

  • CURL - CURL is an extremely important part of your licensed software and is needed for a number of operations performed such as server connections, etc.
  • DNS - DNS is a vital part of internet functionality in order to be able to resolve hostnames of servers, domain lookups, and licensing. Ensure your DNS resolves to our domain to the correct IP address.

A connection test can be accessed by adding the following suffix to the admin login page of your licensed software:

?conntest=1

For example https://yourdomain.com/yoursoftwarepath/admin/login?conntest=1

  • The example here assumes you have your software in a folder not located on the top level.
  • If you are software is not located in a folder (such as in the case of AnchoredCMS), it would be something like this: https://yourdomain.com/admin/login?conntest=1

This will attempt to perform a cURL connection from your server to our License Servers and display the output on-screen. If any errors occur, they should be provided to your server admin/hosting provider so the connection issue can be corrected. Furthermore, if you wish for us to look into the issue before contacting your server admin/hosting provider, simply contact us via a Technical Support ticket.
