What is a development license? How do I get one? Print

  • 0

A Development License allows you to setup a secondary instance of your Licenced software for testing purposes.

We recommend setting up a staging environment that allows you to test out upgrades or any customizations/add-ons before deploying them into production.

Development instances of software must always be for internal use only and not be public facing.

What does "public facing" mean?

  • Public facing means that the general public (GP) can access your website/software installation. This would especially be the case of the Anchored CMS software, which is a CMS like WordPress.
  • For the website to not be public-facing, this would require the use of the directory to be password protected. Once you request a Development License, we will list the explicit instructions and validate that these requirements are met.

Important Information

  • Those who purchase our software generally will qualify for a development license key for each paid and active license key. (An active license is classified as any owned or monthly leased license)
  • If you have an owned license, you generally will not need a Support & Updates package.
  • If you are requesting several development licenses, we may charge a one-time fee per additional license beyond the one (1) development license.
  • The Development License is PER Software.
